Carolyn Dever and George Justice write together and separately on faculty and administrative leadership in higher education.

As Frank Midler, David Williamson, and as himself, George has written short pieces on faculty development and leadership in the Chronicle of Higher Education for nearly fifteen years. Most recently he has published How to Be a Dean with Johns Hopkins University Press, part of their Higher Education Essentials series.

Carolyn is the section editor for higher education for the digital journal Public Books, a forum for academic expertise and broad public engagement. Articles she has contributed to the site include The Future of the Global University and Birth of a Queer Parent.

Committed to the ongoing power of the written word, Dever and Justice together are working on Beyond the Dark Side, a set of short pieces and a longer argument about the future of faculty leadership.
